Overview
Proxima Fusion is a German fusion energy startup developing power plants based on quasi-isodynamic stellarators, a magnetic confinement design aimed at steady-state operation. Founded in 2023 as a spin-out linked to the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, it employs power electronics, embedded control and test engineers and plasma scientists in Munich and Zurich.
