Overview
Speak is a language learning company founded in 2016 that focuses on spoken fluency rather than vocabulary drills. Its speech recognition and language models let learners hold open-ended conversations and receive detailed pronunciation and grammar feedback. The app became one of the largest education products in South Korea and has expanded globally with backing from the OpenAI Startup Fund.
