Overview
Steel builds open-source browser infrastructure for AI agents and apps, giving developers isolated cloud Chrome sessions through a Sessions API, a CLI and Node and Python SDKs. The platform hides session pooling, proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, anti-bot stealth and observability behind a REST API, and its open-source core runtime, Steel Browser, can be self-hosted with Docker.
