Subtle Medical is a company founded in 2017 out of Stanford research that uses deep learning to improve medical imaging acquisition. Its software reconstructs diagnostic-quality magnetic resonance and positron emission tomography scans from faster or lower-dose acquisitions. The products have regulatory clearances in the United States and Europe and are used to increase scanner throughput.
