Vale is a Brazilian mining company headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and one of the largest producers of iron ore, iron ore pellets and nickel in the world. Founded in 1942 as the state-owned Companhia Vale do Rio Doce and privatised in 1997, it runs mines, railways and ports in Brazil and, through Vale Base Metals, nickel and copper operations in Canada, Indonesia and other countries. Its openings cover geotechnical monitoring technicians, underground mine supervisors, high and low voltage electricians, automation engineers, IT analysts and health and safety managers in Brazil, Canada and Peru.
