JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Marketing Manager HCP (m/f/d)

This position works out ofAbbott GmbHin the Diabetes Care division.

Primary Objective of Position

Overall:

  • Lead and own Abbott Diabetes Care’s HCP marketing department and HCP marketing function for ADC Germany, including strategic leadership, priority setting, activity execution, capability building and leadership of an associated team for the FSL portfolio of products and services.
  • This position reports into the Marketing Director for Germany.

Specifically:

  • Lead the development and deployment of ADC’s Germany’s HCP marketing strategy, ensuring the delivery of integrated, multi-platform/multi-channel HCP marketing programs and campaigns that drive growth inline with commercial objectives and build HCP brand equity across ADC’s total brand portfolio - with a focus on Secondary and Primary care.
  • Be the functional head for HCP marketing in ADC Germany, accountable for all HCP brand fundamentals (Who, What, How..), Capability building, Stakeholder Management and Cross functional integration across touchpoint/channels.
  • Lead and motivate a team of direct reports (2 brand managers and 1 working student) and manage the Agency ecosystem including significant budget responsibility.
  • The role collaborates closely with Brand Management, Medical Affairs, Sales Leadership, Digital, CRM, Market Access, and Regional/Global Marketing to ensure strategic alignment, cross-functional coordination, and reapplication of best practices.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated HCP marketing strategies and programs which meet the needs of diverse HCP segments including but not limited to Diabetologists, Primary Care Physicians and other external medical stakeholders, with the ultimate objective to deliver commercial acquisition and retention goals.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of all HCP segments, their needs, pain points, preferences, motivations, and the content, programs and marketing initiatives that build connection and drive engagement and “sponsor” these throughout the Commercial organization and key stakeholders.
  • Lead and sponsor specific strategies and programs aiming towards acceleration and expansion in Primary Care in strong collaboration with the Sales team and other local/regional experts.
  • Ensure adoption of Sales Force e-detailing/messaging executions though regular steering /deployment cycles and strong collaboration with Sales & Sales Training.
  • Pioneer omnichannel marketing approaches and programs and ensure message and content dissemination across relevant channels/touchpoints in both ‘Sales Force targeted’ and ‘non targeted’ environments in collaboration with touchpoint experts (eg Congresses, Media, CRM, Digital, etc..).
  • Own the in-market success of HCP e-detailers and matetials, tracking and gathering Sales feedback in collaboration with Sales Force Excellence as well as making adaptations as required.
  • Undertake market research and campaign effectiveness testing/monitoring, with market research colleagues where necessary, to gather insigthts, focus messaging and track message effectiveness/pull through and following change of script/recommendation/behaviours.
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, KI’s and KE’s to generate insights for optimization of HCPs brand plans - in strong collaboration with Medical Affairs.
  • Provide strategic input into AREA and Global HCP marketing strategies and programs and be part of cross-regional working groups to elevate HCP communication excellence and ensure adoption in the local market.
  • Manage and steer relevant Health Care Agencies and associated HCP marketing budgets and ensure delivery of projects on time and in high quality.
  • Lead the HCP Marketing team in a motivating and agile way, ensuring effective and efficient handling of tasks and resources to deliver against commercial objectives.
  • Actively participate as a member of the cross-functional brand team and closely collaborate with other Marketing departments as well as Sales, Commercial Excellence, Market Access, Medical Affairs as well as EMEA and global Marketing teams.
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in full compliance with regulatory, legal, and quality system requirements.
  • TRAVEL: Approximately 30%

Qualifications:

  • Educated to post graduate degree level
  • Post-graduate qualification in Marketing or MBA.
  • Min. 10 years of Marketing experience in a pharmaceutical, RX driven environment with focus on HCPs/B2B Marketing and exposure to Sales & Agencies.
  • Experience in working with Diabetologists and Primary Care Physicians as well as detailing of RX driven product /scientific concepts for mass adoption
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Regulatory.
  • Leadership - Leads a team of direct reports
  • Team oriented with the confidence, maturity and integrity to work effectively as a member of one of the top companies in the medical device industry, with customers and suppliers
  • Track record in PCP/HCP marketing campaigns development and execution with strong performance is a plus
  • Experience in consumer facing categories, e.g. Consumer Health is a plus
  • Sales experience ideally
  • Fluent in German and English
