Role Summary

The Visual Design Specialist leads visual design execution across projects, from concept through final delivery. This role provides creative direction to design teams, ensures brand consistency and quality standards, and serves as a key design contact for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept development and visual storytelling across digital and print deliverables.
• Provide creative direction and review design work to ensure quality, consistency, accessibility, and brand alignment.
• Develop and apply brand guidelines, design systems, visual assets, illustrations, and responsive digital experiences.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, PowerPoint, and AI-assisted design tools to support design development and production.
• Lead client and stakeholder discussions, presenting and explaining design recommendations and decisions.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to designers throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate design workflows, timelines, reviews, revisions, and quality checkpoints.
• Identify and address design and delivery risks, including changes in scope or deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of professional visual or graphic design experience.
• Experience leading design projects and providing direction to junior designers.
• Client-facing experience, including presenting and explaining design decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using AI tools in design workflows.
• Portfolio demonstrating visual design execution, creative thinking, and creative direction.
• C1 English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing design systems and brand guidelines.
• Experience creating digital advertising and print-ready assets.
• Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility principles.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in oncology or rare diseases.
• Experience working with medical affairs or scientific communications teams.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with Generative AI and AI-assisted design tools.
• Experience contributing to new business pitches.
• Illustration or data visualization experience..
