We are looking for a Creative Director to lead visual strategy, concept development, and creative execution for pharmaceutical and healthcare accounts.

This role will oversee multidisciplinary creative teams and develop integrated campaigns across digital, social, print, video, and experiential channels for both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patient audiences. The position requires strong experience in pharmaceutical advertising, creative leadership, and regulatory review processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead creative strategy, concept development, art direction, and visual execution across integrated campaigns.
• Develop visual concepts that translate complex scientific and medical information into clear communications.
• Oversee campaign identities, digital experiences, typography, illustration, data visualization, and other visual assets.
• Ensure creative deliverables meet brand, accessibility, scientific accuracy, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Partner with copy, strategy, medical, account, UX, production, and project management teams.
• Manage and mentor designers, art directors, and copywriters.
• Oversee creative quality, timelines, resourcing, and delivery across assigned accounts.
• Present creative concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support new business pitches and multichannel campaign development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in graphic/visual design, art direction, or creative roles.
• Experience leading creative teams and managing designers and/or art directors.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotech, or healthcare advertising.
• Experience with pharmaceutical promotional review processes, including MLR.
• Experience developing omnichannel campaigns for HCP and/or patient audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Experience with UI/UX principles, accessibility, and digital design.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Portfolio demonstrating creative work across multiple formats and channels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in oncology or rare diseases.
• Experience working with medical affairs or scientific communications teams.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with Generative AI and AI-assisted design tools.
• Experience contributing to new business pitches.
• Illustration or data visualization experience.
