Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Retail Consultant to join our team.

The candidate should possess proven experience delivering retail-focused SAP solutions across the Order-to-Cash lifecycle, promotional pricing, markdown management, and integration with core retail processes. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and support end-to-end implementations within dynamic retail environments.

This position is ideal for a consultant who can independently manage functional workstreams, contribute to solution architecture and configuration, support testing and deployment activities, and drive business value through innovative SAP Retail and PMR solutions.

Additional Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP SD processes across the complete Order-to-Cash lifecycle.
• Design and implement SAP PMR solutions to support promotional pricing, markdowns, and retail campaign management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable SAP Retail solutions.
• Configure pricing procedures, condition techniques, billing processes, and promotional mechanisms.
• Support retail business processes including merchandise management, article maintenance, store replenishment, and pricing activities.
• Participate in business process design workshops and solution architecture discussions.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
• Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including SAP MM, FI/CO, and Retail teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Support deployment, go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability development.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of hands-on SAP SD consulting experience.

• Technical Qualifications

  SAP SD Core Candidates must have solid hands-on SAP SD configuration experience covering the full Order-to-Cash cycle, including integration with adjacent modules.

• Order types, item categories, schedule lines, and delivery configuration
• Pricing procedures, condition types, and billing document setup
• Output and partner determination
• SD-FI/CO integration: account determination and billing flow
• SD-MM integration: third-party, intercompany, and stock transport orders
• SAP Retail

• Candidates must have real project exposure to SAP Retail or S/4HANA Retail processes, not just general SD in a retail-adjacent environment.

• Article master creation, maintenance, and classification
• Store and distribution centre order flows and replenishment scenarios
• Retail-specific pricing, merchandise management, and listing/exclusion processes
• At least one full or significant project delivery in a retail client environment

• SAP PMR - Promotion Management for Retail Candidates must demonstrate hands-on involvement in PMR configuration, not just testing or documentation support.

• Promotional pricing setup and condition-based pricing in a retail context
• Markdown logic and time-based pricing configuration
• Management of promotion-specific condition records and validity periods
• Understanding of how PMR integrates with SD pricing and retail processes
• CAR architecture: data sourcing, staging, and integration with SAP ERP/Retail
• POSDTA: POS data transfer and audit
• OAA: Omnichannel Article Availability
• DDF: Demand Data Foundation
• UDF: Unified Demand Forecast
• Understanding of how CAR feeds downstream replenishment, analytics, or omnichannel scenarios

• Ability to mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance.
• Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
• Understanding of omnichannel retail business models and promotional strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.

• SAP SD Certification.
• SAP Retail Certification.
• SAP Promotion Management for Retail (PMR) implementation experience across multiple projects.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Retail solutions.
• Exposure to SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository) and retail analytics solutions.
• Experience in global retail transformation programs.
• Knowledge of omnichannel commerce and customer experience platforms.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise retail clients.
• Understanding of retail forecasting, pricing optimization, and merchandising processes.
• Experience with Accenture delivery methodologies and best practices.
