You’ll also assist with sourcing and clearing user-generated content to help bring impactful weather stories to life across platforms.

This paid internship spans 5 months and requires a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Morning and daytime availability is preferred, though some evening hours may be accommodated.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Meteorology or a related field that requires experience in writing and research.
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Interest in weather, climate, and science-based storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing best practices is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
