AEPis seeking a Software Development Engineer to join theAEPCorePlatformteam. We build scalable, performant services and tools to handleend-to-endcustomer lifecyclefrombuilding the platform for automatedonboarding customerson the platform.
This role requires extensiveexpertisein high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.You will manage a wide technical area by drivingarchitectural direction withinand acrossmultiple AEP platform teams.
What you will do:
Design and develop distributed services that are resilient, highlyavailable,and scalable.
Collaborate with business partners, architects, technical leads, product management and analysts to develop high-quality customer centric solutions.
Guide multi-functional technical initiatives across related teams, establishing architectural direction for capabilities that cross service boundaries.
Own feature development from inception to production rollout and postmortem & contribute to the development of engineering processes.
Evaluate innovative technologies and incorporate them, heavily useAIforimprovedefficiencyand iterate faster.
What you will need to succeed:
B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, required; M.S. or equivalent practical depth preferred.
8+ years of software engineering experience having built highly maintainable, scalable systems with Scala/Java orcomparable,strongly typed language.
Deep proficiency in Java or Scala - including the runtime: JVM memory management, GC tuning, thread scheduling, and how allocation patterns affect tail latency at high event rates.
Proven ability to reason about system performance at scale - predict where a build breaks under load, profile production systems, and drive optimizations that improve real metrics
Ability to multi-tasksimultaneouslydifferent projects, having apositive outlook, motivated learner with strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $159,200 - $301,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $208,300 - $301,600At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
