AIA is a pan-Asian life insurance group founded in Shanghai in 1919 that operated for decades as the Asian arm of the American insurer AIG before being separated and listed in Hong Kong in 2010. It sells life, health, accident and savings products across eighteen markets in Asia Pacific, distributing largely through a tied agency force of hundreds of thousands of agents rather than brokers, which gives it unusual control over sales quality and customer relationships. Headquartered in Hong Kong and reporting in United States dollars, it is one of the largest listed life insurers in the world by market value.

Your Capabilities

  • You have actuarial experience and enjoy applying analytical thinking to solve complex business challenges
  • You bring strong quantitative, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify insights and opportunities from large datasets
  • You have a tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline and are progressing towards, or have completed, an actuarial qualification
  • You bring excellent communication skills and can confidently explain technical concepts to a range of audiences
  • You have strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • You may also have experience within life insurance or the wider financial services industry, along with knowledge of actuarial modelling tools and regulatory reporting environments

Your Life at AIA

At AIA, we believe your expertise deserves more than a job, it deserves a purpose. In return for your contribution, you’ll enjoy a career where your analytical skills shape decisions that impact millions of lives. We offer flexible ways of working, competitive rewards, and continuous professional development to help you grow as the industry evolves. You’ll be part of a collaborative actuarial community that values innovation, supports your wellbeing, and gives you the tools to make a meaningful difference.
