Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead with 8-12 years of Salesforce ecosystem experience and a proven track record of working with enterprise clients, leading technical teams, and delivering complex Salesforce implementations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on development expertise, excellent solution design capabilities, solid knowledge of Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

The candidate will lead and mentor Salesforce developers, conduct client-facing technical discussions, drive architectural decisions, and manage end-to-end technical delivery. Knowledge of Salesforce Agentforce, AI-powered solutions, and emerging Salesforce AI capabilities is highly desirable. Experience with enterprise clients in the Financial Services or Banking domain will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor Salesforce developers, providing technical direction, code-level guidance, and continuous knowledge sharing.
• Own technical delivery across Salesforce projects, ensuring quality, scalability, maintainability, and adherence to established standards.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, technical walkthroughs, and development quality assessments.
• Break down business requirements into technical tasks, estimate effort, allocate work, and track execution.
• Identify technical risks, resolve complex challenges, and drive timely resolution of critical production issues.
• Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement across development teams.

2. Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead requirement analysis, technical discovery sessions, solution design discussions, and technical workshops with enterprise clients.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable Salesforce technical designs and implementation approaches.
• Design solutions covering Salesforce customization, integrations, automation, data models, security, and system performance.
• Evaluate alternative technical approaches and recommend solutions based on scalability, maintainability, security, and business value.
• Prepare and review technical design documents, integration specifications, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Identify dependencies, integration challenges, platform limitations, and opportunities for optimization.

3. Enterprise Client Engagement

• Work directly with client stakeholders, architects, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams.
• Lead technical discussions, present solution recommendations, manage expectations, and address client concerns.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and business audiences.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across geographies and support delivery aligned with US business hours.
• Contribute to technical estimations, solution proposals, pre-sales discussions, and feasibility assessments when required.

4. Salesforce Development & Platform Expertise

• Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to complex development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
• Design and implement custom Salesforce functionality, asynchronous processing, event-driven solutions, and enterprise integrations.
• Work with Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Scheduled Apex, and Platform Events.
• Ensure appropriate implementation of Salesforce security, sharing models, governor-limit optimization, and platform best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and drive performance optimization across Salesforce implementations.

5. DevOps, Release Management & Engineering Excellence

• Apply Salesforce DevOps best practices, including version control, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Work with Salesforce DX, Git/GitHub, VS Code, and deployment tools such as Copado, AutoRABIT, Gearset, or Jenkins.
• Drive deployment automation, code quality checks, release planning, environment management, and deployment troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with QA and release teams to improve deployment reliability, reduce manual effort, and maintain release quality.
• Promote engineering standards, automation, and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.

6. Salesforce AI & Agentforce

• Demonstrate an understanding of Salesforce Agentforce, agentic AI, and AI-enabled business process automation.
• Evaluate how Agentforce can integrate with Salesforce workflows, business processes, and enterprise data.
• Contribute to the evaluation, design, and implementation of AI-powered Salesforce solutions.
• Understand Prompt Builder, Data Cloud, grounding, AI agent configuration, and responsible AI practices.
• Support Agentforce implementation initiatives where required.

7. Delivery Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Manage technical dependencies, delivery risks, code quality, and production issues.
• Balance hands-on technical contributions with team leadership and delivery ownership.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to achieve delivery objectives.
• Support Agile/Scrum practices, sprint planning, release coordination, and technical delivery reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, solution quality, and engineering efficiency.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies

• 8-12 years of overall experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with strong hands-on Salesforce development expertise.
• Proven experience working with enterprise clients and delivering complex Salesforce implementations.
• Prior experience leading Salesforce developers and mentoring technical team members.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flows.
• Experience with Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Scheduled Apex, Platform Events, and asynchronous processing.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, OAuth, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, sharing models, governor limits, performance optimization, and data modelling.
• Strong experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Experience with solution design, technical discovery, effort estimation, and translating business requirements into implementation plans.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Salesforce DX, VS Code, and automated deployment tools.
• Understanding of Salesforce Agentforce and AI-powered Salesforce capabilities.
• Strong client-facing communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
