Primary Duties
- Press-brake and machine operation
- Position, align, and secure forming dies and adjust ram stroke to suit gauge of material, angles or contours
- Set stop gauges to conform with dimensional specifications, templates or samples
- Select and load proper raw material and unload completed parts as required
- Determine sequence of bends on multiple press operations for work having a series of bends at various angles and in different planes
- Improvise set-ups to form special shapes having single or compound radii, angle flanges, etc, which require considerable care in ram adjustments to avoid surface irregularities
- Set up and align adjustable punching, slotting, notching dies and gauging devices for multiple series punching on a long strip, sheet, or angle work
- Follow standardized methods of work

- Ability to follow directions and work from written or verbal instructions (strong reading comprehension), including drawings, specifications, templates and samples

Work Environment
- Continuous exposure to mechanical hazards and moving objects
- Frequent exposure to temperature extremes and noise levels of >80 db
- Occasional exposure to: humid/arid conditions, cramped quarters, vibrations, fumes, dust, mists, gases, allergens, insect bites, and material handling equipment
Physical Demands
- Continuous use of touch and finger movement
- Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
- Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
- Requires continuous or near continuous standing and balancing
- Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Occasional walking, sitting, carrying (25-50 lbs), climbing, pushing & pulling of heavy carts, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching (overhead and to the side) may be required
Expected Hours of Work
8 hour shifts M-F with weekend and daily overtime hours as required for production
