AI Intern

We are looking for a motivated and curious AI Intern to join our team and support the development of AI-driven business solutions, workflow automation and enterprise system integration.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in applying AI technologies to real-world business challenges, developing automation tools and supporting digital transformation initiatives across various departments.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, IT personnel and external vendors, the intern will assist in developing, testing and improving AI applications that enhance operational efficiency and streamline business processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Application Development & Automation

• Assist in developing and testing AI-powered applications to improve business processes across various departments.

• Support the identification of repetitive tasks and opportunities for AI-driven automation.

• Assist in developing AI solutions for product sourcing, quotation generation, sales order processing and document management.

• Conduct research on AI tools, large language models (LLMs) and automation technologies relevant to business applications.

• Assist in testing, debugging and improving AI applications to enhance accuracy, reliability and user experience.

2. AI Solutions & Business Process Improvement

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for AI adoption.

• Assist in developing AI-assisted tools for data processing, information retrieval and workflow automation.

• Support the integration of AI tools with existing business applications and systems.

• Conduct functional testing and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Prepare simple demonstrations, user guides and documentation to support the adoption of AI solutions.

• Keep up to date with emerging AI technologies and explore their potential applications in the Company's operations.

3. ERP Integration & System Support

• Assist with software implementation, system integration and optimisation projects.

• Support data preparation, data migration checks and data integrity verification.

• Assist in testing integrations between AI applications and existing business systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Help document system workflows, technical requirements and testing results.

• Work with internal IT personnel and external vendors to investigate technical issues and support system improvements.

4. Project Coordination & Documentation

• Assist in coordinating AI and digital transformation projects, including tracking tasks and project progress.

• Gather and organise information from relevant departments to support solution development.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides and project records.

• Support the testing, deployment and ongoing improvement of AI applications.

• Undertake other relevant duties and project assignments as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline.

• Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language.

• Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning concepts or large language models (LLMs) would be an advantage.

• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, data processing or software development would be an advantage.

• Exposure to automation tools, AI application development or ERP systems through coursework, personal projects or previous internships would be beneficial.

• No prior full-time working experience is required.

• Good attention to detail, particularly in testing applications and checking data accuracy.

• Responsible, organised and willing to learn in a hands-on business environment.
