Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate, preferably in Science, Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology or Quality Management
Role Summary
We are seeking an Accreditation Officer to support the maintenance and compliance of our certification body’s accreditation system. The role will coordinate accreditation assessments, maintain compliance records and support certification operations in line with applicable standards and scheme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accreditation manuals, procedures, forms, records and scope documentation.
- Support NABCB, FSSC and other accreditation/scheme assessments.
- Coordinate assessment schedules, evidence submission and closure of nonconformities.
- Monitor compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1, IAF, NABCB and scheme requirements.
- Maintain auditor, technical expert, reviewer and decision-maker competence records.
- Track auditor qualifications, witnessing, training and approval status.
- Review certification files for completeness and compliance.
- Monitor audit reports, corrective actions, technical reviews and certification decisions.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews and corrective-action follow-up.
- Control the use of accreditation symbols and certification marks.
- Maintain trackers for accreditation activities, certification files and open actions.
- Escalate compliance gaps, overdue records and certification risks to management.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of accreditation and certification-body processes
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17021-1, IAF and NABCB requirements
- Understanding of management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000
- Strong documentation and record-control skills
- Good coordination, communication and follow-up abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital record-management systems
