The Specialist Implementation & Services organization delivers non-standard, tailored and bespoke travel solutions for airlines, travel agents and partners. Working closely alongside customers, engineering teams and partners, we bring deep expertise on complex, large-scale implementations - turning that expert workforce into a key revenue lever through high-value service and monetization.

This organization holds full and global accountability for the implementation of travel solution deliveries, managing a highly diversified portfolio of products executed in collaboration with other stakeholders. We operate as an efficient and predictable "implementation engine," able to scale to meet Amadeus's current and future travel implementation and servicing challenges. The group is organized around three main pillars: Offer, Order and Ecosystem.

Summary of the role:

The API Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy services to customers integrating Amadeus APIs into their IT ecosystems. The role acts as a trusted technical advisor, supporting customers from pre-sales to implementation and optimization, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing business value.

Operating with autonomy, the API Consultant owns end-to-end delivery within scope, contributes to cross-functional initiatives, and acts as a technical reference within the team. This role directly contributes to enabling integration between Amadeus solutions and external systems across industries. While airline solutions (e.g., reservation, inventory, order management) may be used as examples, the scope covers the broader Amadeus ecosystem.

In this role you’ll:

Make recommendations on solutions and propose improvements by analyzing different sources of information.

Operate as Pre-Sales & Advisory:

• Supporting pre-sales activities by analyzing customer business flows and proposing integration approaches.
• Acting as a technical advisor to customer stakeholders and internal teams (including demos).

Have an Integration Consultancy & Solution Design expert role:

• Providing expert guidance on API integration, including architecture, flows, and best practices.
• Supporting customers in identifying impacted systems, interfaces, and solution options within the Amadeus portfolio.
• Translating customer business needs into technical solutions and integration designs gathering necessary details directly from the customer, from internal and third parties.

Implement & deliver around Amadeus Solutions Ecosystems:

• Ensuring successful onboarding, implementation, and optimization of integrations.
• Owning delivery for assigned projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
• Organizing and contributing to integration workshops (architecture, data mapping, orchestration).
• Coordinating with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to ensure successful integration delivery.

Manage Projects & Stakeholders:

• Managing multiple priorities across different customers and projects.
• Tracking progress, milestones, and risks, and propose mitigation actions.
• Providing regular status reporting, including progress indicators and customer feedback.

Ensure Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing:

• Contributing to standardization, reusable assets, and documentation.
• Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives within the organization.
• Sharing expertise and support onboarding of team members.

Play a key role in post-integration phase & Optimization area:

• Ensuring successful adoption and optimization of Amadeus solutions by customers.
• Supporting issue identification, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

About the ideal candidate:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• +3 years of experience in API integration, technical consultancy, or SaaS delivery.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and complex, global organizations.
• Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies (Agile, SAFe, or equivalent).
• Good English communication skills.
• Adaptability and continuous learning mindset in evolving API ecosystems (automation, GenAI, self-service).

Technical Skills

• Understanding of API technologies and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, authentication, application certificate management…).
• Knowledge of system integration architectures, data flows, and middleware solutions.
• Experience with developer ecosystems, API platforms, or integration tools.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
