Summary of the Role

Join us as a Software Development Engineer and help build solutions used by teams across Amadeus. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of full-stack applications using Python and Angular while collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations. You'll have opportunities to work with modern technologies, enhance internal platforms, and help improve the experience of users throughout the software development lifecycle.

TheTABteam,withinGFA,providestoolsthatsupporttheefficientoperationofAmadeusproductsandservices.

Our users include teams involved throughout the software development lifecycle. We provide solutions that help teams monitor applications, manage ticket backlogs effectively, andanalyzedatatoimprovetheirprocesses.Theseteamssupportimportantinternalplatforms,testingenvironments,andproductionservicesusedbyAmadeuscustomers.

Team Organization and Solution

We are anAgileScrumteamsupportedbyadedicatedProductOwnerandScrumMaster.MostteammembersarebasedinSophiaAntipolis,withadditionalcolleagueslocatedinNiceandBelgrade.

Our teamdevelopsseveralproductsandworksinacollaborativeenvironmentwhereteammemberscancontributeacrossmultipleinitiatives.Thisprovidesopportunitiestodevelopskillsindifferenttechnologiesandworkcloselywithdiverseusercommunities.

Ourmainproductsinclude:

• Ambrosia,asyntheticfunctionalmonitoringframeworkthathelpsmonitorapplicationusabilityacrossAmadeus.

• Forge,aplatformthathelpstransformproof-of-concept(POC)ideasintoapplicationsdeployedonMicrosoftAzureandavailableacrossAmadeus.

What Is the Mission and Its Challenges?

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll contribute to and guide the evolution of the platform infrastructure so users have access to efficient, reliable, and well-documented solutions.

You'll also help explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve both team workflows and product capabilities. Working in an Agile environment, you'll have opportunities to deepen expertise in specific technologies or broaden your knowledge across the team's technology stack.

Education

• Master'sdegree,Engineeringdegree,orequivalentpracticalexperienceinComputerScienceorarelatedfield.
• ProfessionalproficiencyinEnglish.

• Design,develop,test,andmaintainfull-stackapplicationsusingPythonandAngular.

• Contributetotheevolutionandreliabilityofplatformsusedacrossthesoftwaredevelopmentlifecycle.

• Collaboratewithusers,ProductOwners,andteammemberstodeliversolutionsthatimproveoperationalefficiencyandapplicationmonitoring.

• ContributetoArtificialIntelligence(AI)initiativesandhelpidentifyopportunitiestoenhanceproductsandteamprocesses.

• Shareknowledge,participateinAgileceremonies,andsupportcontinuousimprovementacrosstheteam.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Experiencedevelopingfull-stackapplicationsusingPython-basedtechnologiesandathree-tierarchitecture(Web,Application,andDatabaselayers).

• Goodknowledgeofatleastoneofthefollowing:AngularandTypeScript,Python3,MongoDB,orArtificialIntelligence(AI)technologies.

• UnderstandingofsoftwareengineeringpracticessuchasTest-DrivenDevelopment(TDD)andAgilemethodologies.

• Experienceworkingcollaborativelyinasoftwaredevelopmentenvironmentandcontributingtotechnicaldiscussions.

• FamiliaritywithtechnologiessuchasMicrosoftAzure,Docker,Kubernetes,orJava.
