Amazon seeks a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our NA AMZL finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning 1-3 years out, executing the month-end close process, and leading entitlement projects that drive overall cost to serve down for our customers. This hands-on position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as you'll work across operations and support teams to influence strategic decisions.

Key job responsibilities

You'll collaborate with operations teams to analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement. Throughout the day, you'll toggle between tactical execution-such as working on month-end close tasks-and strategic planning activities. You'll participate in meetings with cross-functional teams where you'll present financial insights and influence decisions that impact the business over the next 1-3 years. About the team Our team is small but mighty, responsible for managing all NA AMZL/RSR costs for under-the-roof expenses. We work as strategic partners to operations, providing financial guidance that drives business performance. Each team member plays a crucial role in supporting Amazon's last mile delivery network in North America, helping to scale operations efficiently while maintaining financial discipline. Basic qualifications
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
