We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical writer based in the USA to join our dynamic team. This role will involve working on a fast-growing publications account that focuses on cutting-edge developments in oncology.
The role
Our core expertise is in developing accurate and engaging scientific content and delivering that through a variety of communication channels for maximum reach and impact. Our teams have gained an excellent reputation with our clients for the quality of work that we deliver.
As a result of this success, Amiculum is looking for an experienced medical writer with a passion for publications who enjoys building positive long-term relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving organic growth.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and delivering high-quality scientific content on a fast-paced and growing global publications account
- Providing clients with a high level of scientific expertise for medical communications projects, with a focus on publications, including abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and the wider therapy area
- Ensuring high quality and consistency across multiple deliverables
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
- Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
- Contributing to the growth of a contemporary publications account through proactive idea generation and identification of strategic opportunities
What you’ll need
- A strong academic background in life sciences
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a medical writer supporting publications in a healthcare communications agency
- Excellent storytelling abilities - a creative thinker who enjoys transforming complex science into clear, accurate, and engaging content
- Strong scientific writing skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to be engaging and confident in verbal communication
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and working as part of a team
- The ability to keep calm under pressure, work on multiple projects in parallel, and meet agreed deadlines
- The confidence to make decisions and drive projects forward
