Your Role
As a Compiler Team Intern, you will work alongside experienced software engineers contributing to real development projects within a compiler technology environment. You will become an active member of the engineering team, participating in daily Scrum activities, collaborating on technical tasks, and gaining hands-on industry experience in low-level systems programming and software development.
Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to real engineering projects, including bug fixes, enhancements, and software improvements within existing products.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings and Agile development activities.
- Work closely with team members to develop, test, and maintain software components.
- Utilize Linux/Unix command-line tools and shell scripting as part of daily development activities.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including source control management using Git.
- Gain exposure to professional software development processes and contribute meaningful deliverables that provide value to the business.
Your Background
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Familiarity with Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
- Experience working in Linux or Unix command-line environments.
- Exposure to low-level systems programming concepts.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and development practices.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices is a plus.
- Coursework or exposure related to compilers, assembly language, operating systems, or low-level computer architecture is highly desirable.
- Previous internship, programming competition, or hands-on software project experience is a plus.
