Tech Lead - Python Developer

What You'll Do

• Develop the entire automation solution life cycle, from intake through development, debugging, testing, and implementation into production.
• Write documentation that follows the Reporting Center of Excellence’s standards and governance.
• Review and ensure all developed automated solutions meet objectives and guidelines by collaborating with the lead engineer.
• Build and review sustainability documentation for automated processes and contribute to team training and professional development.
• Maintain and debug over 500 existing automation processes to ensure consistent, accurate, and up-to-date operational rhythms.
• Lead recurring meetings with business collaborators, sharing functional and technical expertise, identifying automation opportunities, and guiding participants in setting up successful automation processes.
• Research and develop code to improve existing automations, focusing on faster run times and innovative solutions.
• Support the Reporting Center of Excellence in driving forward strategic and tactical implementation of automation solutions.
• Direct the development of automation solutions using Python, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Co Pilot Studio, and other platforms to simplify repetitive tasks.
• Conduct detailed reviews of automation code developed by team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, encouraging skill development in Python, Blue Prism, Power Automate, and problem-solving techniques.
• Find opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize automations.
• Incorporate AI/ML capabilities into automation workflows where applicable.
• Support proof-of-concept developments to evaluate new tools and frameworks for automation efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• High-level Python skills
• Proven experience in Blue Prism automation
• Experience using Power Automate
• Experience working with AI Tools such as Gemini, Co Pilot Studio, OpenAI, Snowflake Cortex
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Capable of handling a variety of data sources, including several ERP systems and legacy environments
• Ability to set and accomplish goals
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a strong sense of personal and professional responsibility
• Ability to meet changing demands and adapt to frequently changing priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
• Minimum 3+ years experience in Automation Development
• Proficient skills in Python, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Agentic Automation, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Preferred experience in R, SQL, Java, C++, C#, HTML, Selenium, CoPilot Studio, Snowflake or another Data Warehouse Solution, PowerBI or any other Data Visualization Tool, IPA, Anaplan, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Concur
