As an Industrialization Engineer Intern, reporting to the Industrialization Manager, you will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and technologies.
The internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a complex manufacturing environment, working on real industrial challenges related to production equipment, automation and manufacturing technologies.
The candidate will also have the opportunity to develop a challenging Master's thesis project focused on solving a real industrial problem, combining academic knowledge with practical experience and working alongside experienced professionals and cross-functional teams.
You will be responsible of the following activities:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of existing production processes, identifying technical solutions to improve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- Support the introduction, development and optimization of production equipment and industrial automation solutions.
- Support the preparation of technical specifications for new equipment, automated systems, tools and manufacturing solutions.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers and internal teams during the development, installation and implementation of new machinery and automation solutions.
- Contribute to rapid prototyping and 3D printing activities for the development and validation of tools, jigs and production solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, throughout industrialization projects.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and equipment standards, supporting the development of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean/WCM initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
As our ideal candidate, your skillset includes:
- Master's degree or final-year student in Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, industrial systems and industrial automation.
- Strong interest in manufacturing technologies, production equipment and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD tools; knowledge of SolidWorks is considered a plus.
- Basic knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies is considered a plus.
- Good digital skills and a strong interest in the application of software and digital technologies within an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation software or general-purpose programming languages is considered a plus.
