React Developer

About The Role

Job Description: UI Developer (6+ Years with Next.js 14+, React 18+, TypeScript, AWS ECS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Tailwind CSS, CI/CD, Terraform, REST / GraphQL, AWS Certified)

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend Architecture & Development
• Architect and develop modern web applications using Next.js 14+ (App Router, Server Components, Server Actions, Streaming SSR, Parallel Routes)
• Design reusable, accessible component libraries using React 18+, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS / Radix UI
• Implement rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR, CSR) based on page-level performance and SEO requirements
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints via Next.js Route Handlers and middleware
• Implement authentication flows (NextAuth.js, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML) with session management
• Write comprehensive tests
• Data Layer & PostgreSQL Integration
• Design data-fetching patterns connecting Next.js to PostgreSQL via Prisma, Drizzle ORM, or raw SQL with connection pooling (PgBouncer, RDS Proxy)
• Build type-safe database queries with proper error handling, pagination, and optimistic updates
• Implement caching strategies (React Cache, revalidation tags) to minimize database roundtrips
• Collaborate on schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization for frontend-driven data access
• AWS & ECS Deployment
• Containerize Next.js applications using Docker with multi-stage builds (standalone output mode)
• Deploy and manage apps on AWS ECS (Fargate/EC2) with task definitions, service configs, and auto-scaling
• Configure ALB with health checks, path-based routing, and SSL/TLS termination via ACM
• Set up CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline) for automated build, test, and deploy to ECS
• Manage infrastructure using IaC (Terraform)
• Integrate with AWS services: RDS PostgreSQL, S3 + CloudFront, ElastiCache, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, WAF, SQS/SNS
• Performance, Observability & Security
• Implement frontend observability: structured logging, error tracking (Sentry, Datadog RUM), performance monitoring
• Configure CloudWatch Container Insights for ECS task-level metrics
• Apply security best practices: CSP, CORS, input sanitization, XSS/CSRF protection, dependency scanning
• Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance with automated testing (axe-core, Lighthouse CI)
• Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead frontend architecture decisions; document via ADRs
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive implementations
• Stay current with Next.js releases, React ecosystem, and AWS service updates
• Required Qualifications
• 6+ years professional frontend development; 3+ years building production apps in Next.js
• Professional Certification (required) - one or more:
• AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
• Meta Front-End Developer Professional Certificate
• Strong TypeScript proficiency - generics, discriminated unions, type guards, utility types, strict mode
• React expertise - hooks, context, suspense, concurrent features, server components, state management (Zustand, Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query)
• Hands-on AWS ECS experience - task definitions, Fargate, ALB, auto-scaling
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL - SQL queries, EXPLAIN ANALYZE, indexing, migrations, ORM (Prisma/Drizzle)
• Docker - production Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, Docker Compose
• Modern CSS: Tailwind CSS, CSS Grid, Flexbox, responsive design
• CI/CD pipelines for containerized frontend deployments
• Git workflows (trunk-based or GitFlow), PR reviews, semantic versioning

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (such as Developer + Solutions Architect)
• Experience with Next.js Middleware for edge routing, A/B testing, feature flags
• OpenTelemetry instrumentation for distributed tracing
• GraphQL (Apollo Client, urql) and schema-first API development
• Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless v2 and connection management in container contexts
• Micro-frontend architectures (Module Federation, multi-zone Next.js)
• Experience in regulated industries (Sox)
