Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (GCP)

AspenView Technology Partners is hiring a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to build and operate reliable GCP platform infrastructure and improve developer experience. The role owns operations, security and trust infrastructure, incident response, and implementation while helping shape platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability across GCP (Cloud Run, AlloyDB/Postgres, BigQuery) and Railway
• Set up staging environments and a deploy pipeline with real rollback
• Implement backup and recovery that is actually tested
• Own incident response and turn every incident into lasting hardening
• Build CI/CD pipelines and migration tooling that keep schema changes safe and predictable
• Build test infrastructure that runs real workflows against real project data
• Make the platform SDK fast and easy to build on, so feature work speeds up as the team grows
• Implement the authorization model: roles, permissions, and multi-project data isolation
• Build immutable audit logging that holds up under outside scrutiny
• Lay the operational groundwork for SOC 2 compliance
• Propose and shape design changes through written architecture decisions
• Ship features against defined acceptance criteria using real project data
• Work closely with the people who use the platform, including occasional jobsite visits

Skills

• 5+ years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with direct ownership of uptime for production systems on GCP or AWS
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL in production (migrations, performance, backup/recovery), CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Hands-on work with authorization and multi-tenant systems
• Able to own operations end to end, influence architecture through clear written proposals, and partner closely with a Lead Architect and end users
• Builder at heart, pragmatic, and comfortable with little process and shifting priorities
• You treat CI/CD and IaC as habits and use AI-assisted development in your daily work
• Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in their country of residence and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Construction, AEC, or vertical SaaS background, and SOC 2 or other compliance experience
