Overview

Your role

As a Highway Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of highway projects and be responsible for:

• Preparing highway design drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
• Supporting senior engineers in the delivery of design projects.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Maintaining technical quality standards and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Delivering assigned tasks within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Liaising with clients and project stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.

About you

Essential

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in highway design consultancy projects.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of highway design codes and standards (KSA, UAE, Qatar, DMRB, and AASHTO).
• Experience in applying quality standards and project procedures.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience contributing to the successful delivery of highway design projects.

Desirable

• Good practical experience in the use of Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD.
• Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D for highway design projects.
• Exposure to the design of interchanges and grade-separated junctions.
• Experience in the design of drainage and utility coordination.
• Working knowledge of Middle East highway design standards and requirements.

• Have a strong technical foundation in highway engineering and design.
• Be capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Possess good written and spoken English skills suitable for a professional business environment.
• Be based in Cairo, Egypt.
