Job Title: Solutions Architect/Tech lead

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type: Regular, full-time, hybrid work arrangement

The job

We are looking for a Tech Lead / Solution Architect to help shape the technical direction of AVEVA’s newly established AI & Digital Delivery hub in Kuala Lumpur. This role will lead architecture, engineering standards, and technical delivery across AI-augmented customer and partner experiences, and multi-region platform capabilities. You will guide a talented team of engineers, work closely with global stakeholders, and play a key role in building secure, scalable solutions that create real impact for AVEVA’s customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own solution architecture across MCP augmentation layers, multi-region platforms, and the Unified Partner Experience.

• Establish engineering standards, security patterns, CI/CD practices, and development ways of working for the hub.

• Lead technical decisions across cloud services, hybrid deployment patterns, and multi-cloud environments including Azure and Alibaba Cloud.

• Mentor and technically guide a team of engineers through architecture reviews, code quality governance, and hands-on support where needed.

• Collaborate with global engineering and enterprise architecture teams to align delivery with AVEVA’s broader technical strategy.

Essential requirements

• Strong architecture experience with .NET / C# and modern front-end frameworks, preferably Angular.

• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.

• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.

• Experience with MCP or equivalent AI / agent augmentation patterns.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership of engineering teams in agile delivery environments.

Desired skills

• Experience with multi-region deployment, data isolation, multi-tenancy, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.

• Familiarity with Salesforce Headless / Experience Cloud integration patterns, search technologies such as Solr or Elasticsearch, and multi-cloud delivery.

• A builder mindset with the aspiration to establish new engineering capabilities and ways of working from the ground up.

• Strong communication, curiosity, collaboration, and trust-building skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
