Job Title: Tech Event Operations & Systems Architect (Tier 1 Events)

The job
We’re looking for an in-house Tech Event Operations & Systems Architect to own and coordinate our event technology ecosystem bringing together registration, event apps, automation, CRM and reporting into a joined-up stack. You’ll manage key suppliers, lead technical delivery, and help enhance our digital event experiences through website and front-end updates. You’ll join a collaborative; global marketing team focused on delivering high-impact events and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Own the Tier 1 + flagship event tech ecosystem end-to-end, ensuring all platforms (registration, app, email automation, CRM, analytics/reporting) integrate and perform reliably with clear governance and architecture ownership.
Lead event tech project delivery and go-live readiness, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, change control, stakeholder comms, runbooks and support models.
Support regional events as the technical events partner, providing consultation, standards, office hours, troubleshooting, and scalable adoption of Tier 1 best practices.
Drive platform strategy and continuous improvement, maintaining the roadmap, defining reusable patterns, and delivering efficiency, reliability and attendee experience gains.
Manage suppliers and internal stakeholders through requirements, configuration, integration, testing and launch, partnering closely with Marketing Ops, Web and IT and all other necessary stakeholders.
Ensure high-quality, secure event data capture and integrations into core systems (e.g., Salesforce/Marketo), including consent, field mapping, dedupe and robust QA/UAT.
Coordinate event websites/landing pages with Web teams, improving UX and conversion via tracking, forms, accessibility and performance with measurement from day one.
Standardise delivery across the portfolio with playbooks, templates, SOPs, training, testing checklists, integration standards and reporting frameworks.
Essential requirements
Proven experience delivering event technology for large, complex (Tier 1) events, including ownership of multiple platforms/tools.
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering to deadlines across multiple stakeholders and vendors.
Experience managing external technology suppliers and driving end-to-end implementation and quality outcomes.
Practical understanding of integrations and event data flows (APIs/webhooks, field mapping, QA/UAT, reporting).
Experience working with registration and event platforms such as Swoogo (or equivalent).
