WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Programming Supervisor, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading the execution of the office programming group. This position will support the Operations and Engineering Manager while serving as a change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency within programming. The Programming Supervisor manages the delivery, development, and implementation of software solutions for internal and external clients. This function includes resource management, delivery management, and service oversight of software projects installed on customer sites. The Programming Supervisor will be responsible for supervising technical employees to ensure software solutions are met for internal and external customers.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Support the office Management as a subject matter expert and escalation resource in coordination with
- operations management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to programming team by coaching and motivating to successfully perform job requirements and to meet and exceed goals and objectives.
- Share, teach, and reinforce the use of AVI-SPL standard practice across the team.
- Communicate through daily huddles with the team to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate completion of programming tasks.
- Lead the programming team with a positive attitude that is in alignment with teamwork, mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Support leadership with establishing departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedure.
- Perform frequent spot checks of team’s work to ensure accuracy and adherence to all company standards.
- Conduct lessons learned meetings as necessary.
- Participates and helps author Statements of Work (SOW) and respond to Requests for Proposal.
- Maintain close relationships with AVI-SPL business units, external vendors, and customers to ensure the team is up to date with current technologies and products.
- Stay up to date with AV advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
- Contribute to improving process workflows, maintaining system administration, scheduling, and resources for the department.
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process of new employees.
- Responsible for personnel management and managing adequate staffing levels.
- Coordinates training and assessment of employees and new hires.
- Some travel maybe required in support of the job requirements.
- Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives.

Must-Haves:
- 6 years experience in programming
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team.
- Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients, and colleagues in a professional and

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.

- Energized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
- Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally.
- Proficient in software IDE’s to be able to conduct code reviews and ensure the programming deliverables of others are met.
- Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment.
- Employees operating company or personal vehicles for business purposes must be legally authorized to drive, maintain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of coverage, meeting all minimum required insurance coverage as a condition of employment.
- Employees driving fleet vehicles must meet eligibility requirements; comply with all guidelines, including telematics monitoring, vehicle maintenance schedules, proper use of assigned fuel and toll devices.
Nice-To-Haves:
- B.S, degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
- AV experience is preferred.
- Military experience may be considered in place of job experience
- Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx etc.) - both hardware and software.
- Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron or other AV programming is preferred.
- Experience with object orientated programming languages is preferred.
- AVIXA CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred.

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
