Data Analyst – Engineering Systems

About the role

As adataanalyst,you’llsupportengineering decision-making across our product lines, with a focus on electrical transformer design and power systems analysis.You'llbuild tools, scripts, and models to help engineersanalysedata,optimizedesigns, andvalidateperformance.

What you'll do

• Analyseengineering and test data to support design decisions across transformer and power systems products

• Build scripts, models, and lightweight tools in Python and/or MATLAB to automate analysis workflows

• Support the development of design and performance models (e.g., efficiency, losses, loadbehaviour) alongside engineering teams

• Create clear visualizations, dashboards, or reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Identifytrends, anomalies, or optimization opportunities in engineering datasets

• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and systems engineers to understand data context and requirements

• Maintain clean, well-documented, reusable code and analysis pipelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)

• 2+ years of experience in a data analysis, engineering analytics, or similar role

• Proficiencyin Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and scripting

• Comfortable working with numerical data, models, and basic statistics

• Strong communicationskills - able to translate data into clear, actionable insights

• Experience with simulation,modelling, or optimization tools

• Familiarity with SQL, dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), or data visualization libraries

• Background in manufacturing, hardware, or energy industries
