Overview
We’re on the lookout for a results-driven SEO Specialist to support our growing list of clients with on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies that drive measurable results. This is a part-time remote position, ideal for someone who thrives on flexibility but still wants to make a tangible impact through data-driven decision-making and smart optimisation.
As part of our wider digital team, you’ll work across a range of clients – from local service businesses to national SMEs – identifying growth opportunities, fixing underperforming pages, and helping sites climb search rankings with strategic intent.
This is more than just keyword research and meta tags. We’re looking for someone who understands the why behind the data, who keeps up with Google’s ever-shifting algorithm, and who knows how to turn insights into action. You’ll work closely with our content and web teams to ensure all recommendations are implemented to spec, and you’ll have the freedom to shape our SEO offering as we scale.

Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks as an SEO Specialist may include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and SERP audits to inform strategy
- Create and implement comprehensive on-page SEO recommendations
- Perform technical SEO audits and implement fixes (e.g. crawl errors, site speed, indexation issues)
- Monitor site performance and rankings, using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar
- Optimise internal linking structures and content hierarchy for SEO clarity
- Support content teams with topic research, meta optimisation, and content briefs
- Collaborate with the web team on site migrations, redirects, and schema implementation
- Identify backlink opportunities and support off-page SEO strategies
- Stay updated with algorithm changes and evolving best practices
Skills & Desirables
To excel in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on SEO experience, either in-house or agency-side
- Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge (e.g. crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data)
- Solid understanding of on-page SEO principles (keyword targeting, metadata, content optimisation)
- Comfortable with basic HTML and WordPress CMS (Elementor experience a bonus)
- Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A testing mindset – willing to try, measure, refine, and adapt
- Understanding of local SEO and service-area businesses is a plus
