Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer - Azure to support Microsoft cloud sales and business development initiatives. This role combines technical solution consulting, customer engagement, and sales enablement to identify business opportunities, address technical challenges, and accelerate adoption of Microsoft Azure and related technologies.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in cloud computing, AI, and Microsoft technologies, with the communication and analytical skills needed to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Customer Engagement & Business Development: Build trusted relationships with target customers and partners, identify business needs, share qualified sales opportunities, and support pipeline development to achieve revenue targets.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Conduct regular, structured customer meetings to understand business priorities, technical requirements, and market developments. Track customer engagement metrics and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and expand Microsoft cloud adoption.
- Technical Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical guidance and solution consulting for Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud services, AI solutions, application architecture, software development, deployment, and cloud adoption.
- Solution Design & Demonstrations: Support the development and presentation of technical solutions, proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and architecture recommendations aligned with customer requirements.
- Sales Enablement: Help sales teams address technical questions, competitive challenges, security concerns, and solution feasibility issues throughout the sales cycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal engineering, delivery, and technical teams to validate proposed solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment between customer expectations and delivery capabilities.
- Market & Technology Insights: Stay current on Microsoft product updates, Azure services, AI capabilities, cloud computing trends, and competitive offerings to identify new opportunities and strengthen customer engagement.
- Opportunity Acceleration: Apply technical expertise and customer insights to support proposal development, strengthen solution positioning, and accelerate the closure of Microsoft Azure consumption and other cloud-related sales opportunities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in software, technology solutions, cloud computing, technical consulting, or a related industry.
- Experience supporting technical solution development, customer-facing technology projects, or project management activities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products and services, with foundational knowledge of Azure and cloud computing concepts.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, application development, deployment, and AI-related technologies.
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand customer business requirements and translate them into practical technical recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, and delivery teams.
- Proactive mindset, strong learning agility, and willingness to stay current with evolving cloud and AI technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure AI, database fundamentals, or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Relevant certifications from other cloud providers, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure adoption, cloud migration, AI solution consulting, or enterprise technology sales support.
- Experience preparing technical proposals, delivering product demonstrations, or supporting proof-of-concept engagements.
- Familiarity with cloud security, governance, and enterprise architecture principles.
