About the role

As a Senior Functional Solution Architect - SaaS Implementation, you'll ensure that our technical solutions align with customer needs while driving continuous improvement within the product and internal processes. This is a hands-on functional SaaS role focused on complex implementation solution design, configuration quality, troubleshooting and reusable standards. It is not a cloud-infrastructure, software-development, or pure pre-sales position.

The responsibilities are split into customer-focused and internal/product-focused areas.

Customer-focused responsibilities:

  • Expert problem-solving: Solve complex challenges during client implementations, ensuring solutions are effective and user-friendly.

  • Technical solution alignment: Ensure customer requirements are met through tailored configurations and quality assurance.

  • Consultant support & escalation handling: Provide expert guidance to consultants, stepping in for complex scenarios and project escalations.

  • Communication & documentation: Engage with clients when needed, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document new approaches for team training.

Internal & Product-Focused Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement & training: Identify process enhancements, including opportunities to leverage AI, and train consultants to improve their skills.

  • Product insights & strategy: Share customer feedback with internal teams, explore how AI and emerging technologies can support scalable solutions, and contribute to product development by identifying trends and shaping future product directions.

Requirements

About you

Above all, we believe in your competencies to shape this role to your fit, and we'll facilitate your growth in this role. This base relevant background will enhance your onboarding:

  • Educational background: You hold a master's degree in engineering, such as computer science engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.

  • Extensive experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing complex SaaS systems. You’ve seen the pitfalls and various challenges that can arise in large-scale SaaS implementation projects.

  • Expert reasoning and decision-making: You are able to reason under ambiguity, weigh customer needs against standards and scalability, identify solution-fit risks, and make sound decisions on when to proceed, adapt, or escalate.

  • Problem-solving ability: You own end-to-end solution design for complex cases, perform quality reviews, and safeguard alignment with standards, product direction, and long-term customer success.

  • Technical comfort: You should be comfortable with the technical configuration of IT systems and SaaS in particular and have a good understanding of how they work. Familiarity with SQL is a plus.

  • You are experienced in functional analysis: You are experienced in functional analysis and can translate business concepts into technical requirements, and document solutions clearly and consistently.

  • Content-driven and hands-on: You are content-driven and have a desire to be hands-on with software systems. You thrive on diving into the details and are eager to understand the ins and outs of the software you're working with.

  • Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will need to articulate complex technical solutions in a way that both team members and clients can understand.

Nice to have extras:

  • Project Management skills: Proven track record in successfully managing and completing large implementation projects.

  • Proven experience in product enhancement on a SaaS product.

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes.

  • Experience in the life-sciences and pharmaceutical industry.

  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading or coaching teams is a plus, as this role serves as the next step for experienced implementation consultants. You will be guiding and teaching others while still solving challenging problems yourself.

Match with the team:

  • You feel connected with and are ready to represent our company values: dig deep, own it, come together, move fast and be kind!

  • You show a willingness to work in a hybrid working model as you are working with a local and global team.

Why join us?

  • The chance to shape the future of a product that is already used by large international clients.

  • For a great work-life balance, we offer a 50% hybrid working model and flexible working hours.

  • A dynamic team environment: Join a team that passionately lives Bluecrux's values every day. Experience a supportive, motivated work culture.

  • Growth and development: Take initiative and grow with us. We provide ample opportunities to enhance both your personal and professional skills while encouraging you to be your authentic self.

  • Engaging team activities: Enjoy a variety of team events, including annual Bluecrux weekends, monthly Last Friday gatherings with drinks, team-building exercises, and other fun activities.

  • A competitive salary package: Enjoy a competitive salary package, bonus program, net allowances, a smartphone with phone subscription and other benefits (such as a fridge full of drinks & healthy snacks).
