Role Overview:

As our Senior Solution Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the architecture of Bluestone PIM and ensuring it remains scalable, maintainable, and reliable as we grow. You will see the big picture: the business requirements, the technical constraints and the roadmap, and you will turn them into clear architectural blueprints that our teams can build from.

You will evaluate technologies, platforms and design patterns, guide our choices, and keep a close eye on risk, from bottlenecks and weak points to the fragility of third-party components. Reporting to the Chief Product & Innovation Officer, you will be a trusted voice between engineering and the business, and a key part of building a platform where AI agents operate reliably in real customer environments.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and harden the architecture AI agents run on, including our MCP surface, guardrails, evaluation, observability and cost control, so agentic workflows are reliable in real customer environments.
• Work AI-native every day and help shape the method our dev teams adopt, setting the standard for how we design, build and ship with AI.
• Own the architectural guardrails for a multi-tenant AWS platform of around 200 microservices serving enterprise customers, including performance, security and tenant isolation.
• Design robust and scalable system architectures for Bluestone PIM, aligned with our product roadmap.
• Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to uncover the real needs behind stated requirements, and translate business objectives into concrete technical specifications.
• Act as the gatekeeper of architectural choices: evaluate emerging and established technologies and recommend what fits.
• Scan the horizon for risks: predict bottlenecks, identify weak points and assess third-party components, then guide preemptive action.
• Define and safeguard non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability and reliability.
• Propose improvements to our processes, quality assurance and monitoring.
• Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, balancing technical insight with business goals.

Factors that make you a great fit:

• A curious, pragmatic mindset, with a strong interest in AI and agentic systems and how to run them in production.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in solution or software architecture in a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
• Strong understanding of scalable SaaS system design, APIs and modern architecture principles.
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, monitoring and observability.
• Ability to assess technology options and third-party risk, and to make well-reasoned architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
