Data Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is seeking a Data Engineer to help troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering and software development problems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of critical production systems and platforms. As a Data Engineer on our team, you’ll be working with a collaborative Kanban data team to manage Tier 3 requests and help build and maintain Cloud software and infrastructure that supports the enterprise. You will implement continuous integration and deployment into development, testing, and production environments.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experiencein operations support, systems administration, data operations, or technical support
- Experiencetroubleshooting complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, or data environments
- Experiencedesigning, developing, and tuning complex data ingestion, routing, and transformation workflows using data flow management tools
- Knowledge ofdata platforms, databases, ETL or data flow processes, and system monitoring tools
- Ability towork independently, prioritize operational issues, and respond effectively in high-tempo environments
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degreein a CS or Engineering field
- Ability toobtain a Security+ Certificationwithin 6 months of hire date
Nice If You Have:
- Experienceworking in secure, regulated, or classified environments
- Experiencewith Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or relatedorchestration tools
- Experiencedesigning and implementing real-time data and streaming architectures using Apache Kafka
- Experienceextending Apache NiFi by writing custom processors, controller services, and utilities using Java
- Knowledge ofAWS services, including RDS and S3
- Possession ofstrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Possession ofstrong written and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
