DevOps Engineer

As a Software Factory DevOps Engineer on our team, you’ll help pipeline our software development from requirements to testing in production. Your team will incorporate automation and cloud resources to minimize repetitive tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best-innovate. You’ll work with professionals to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experiencebuilding and automating CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions, including automated testing and deployment to production
- 3+ years of experiencewith Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform
- Experience creating repeatable, version-controlled environments across commercial clouds, operating cloud-agnostic, meeting security hardening baselines such as STIGs, and working within regulated environments
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes for application deployment and management in cloud or hybridenvironments
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices such as SAST or DAST, secrets management, and policychecks, and performing configuration management for large-scale automated rollouts
- Experience with production sustainment tasks such as CVE remediation and planned rollbacks, and hosting applications on a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience successfully managing or leading a team, project, or initiative, ensuring quality delivery and fostering collaboration
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experiencein DevSecOps and regulated environment security in lieu of a degree
- DoD baseline Security Certificationsuch as Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience optimizing horizontal or vertical scaling and cluster autoscaling for Kubernetes workloads
- Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with production sustainment at scale, including patching windows, automated rollback strategies, and change control in mission-critical environments
- Experience hardening workloads to regulated security requirements and navigating security processes used in enterprise environments
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as Argo CD or Flux, and Helm charts for repeatable deployments
- Experience using the Kubernetes platform such as EKS, AKS, or GKE, and service mesh such as Istio or Linkerd
- Experience collaborating with development teams to remove pipeline bottlenecks and improve release quality without stepping into people management responsibilities
- Knowledge of container image scanning and policy-as-code such as OPA or Kyverno
- Cloud Certificationsuch as Google Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or Azure Administrator Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
