Platform Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud”, but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to developcontainer management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.

As a Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skillsto affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skillsusing the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with currentcontainer software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are metthroughout the containerization process.

You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skillswhile supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experiencewith software development or programming in a DevOps environment

• 1+ years of experiencewith automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet

• Experiencewith Kubernetes

• Knowledge ofarchitecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)or Microsoft Azure

• TS/SCI clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability toobtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certificationwithin 30 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experiencemanaging Git-based version control systems and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)pipelines, including GitLab and GitHub

• Experiencewith Infrastructure-as-Code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD

• Experienceprovisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experiencewith system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML

• Experiencewith scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby

• Experienceleveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration

• Bachelor's degreein STEM

• Agile, DevOps, or Cloud Certification
