Finance Analyst

BRAC is seeking a qualified Finance Analyst to support the financial management and implementation of its SGGA program in Rwanda. The role involves managing accounting systems, financial transactions, budgets, donor reporting, bank reconciliations, and grant compliance while ensuring adherence to accounting standards, organizational policies, and Mastercard Foundation requirements.

• Monitor cash and bank transactions and ensure accurate financial records.
• Process daily financial transactions using the SBI CLOUD ERP system.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare payments, bank transfers, cash withdrawals, and advance clearances.
• Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions, including withholding tax.
• Review accounting documents and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Prepare donor financial reports, fund requests, budgets, and proposals.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and report foreign exchange gains and losses.
• Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and Mastercard Foundation grant requirements.
• Maintain financial documents and records for audits.
• Support financial training and provide guidance to program teams.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, consultants, staff, and field offices.
• Promote financial accountability, safeguarding, and compliance with organizational policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and functions.
• Knowledge of financial controls, budget administration, and expenditure monitoring.
• Understanding of cash flow analysis, cost accounting, and financial forecasting.
• Strong analytical, data gathering, and financial reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams.

• Experience working with an international or local NGO.
• Additional professional qualifications in finance or accounting.
• High integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to solve problems and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
