UNIT MANAGER ENGINEERING (FREE STATE)

CLIENT in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of an UNIT MANAGER ENGINEERING (UNDERGROUND) at their plant in the FREE STATE as soon as possible.

CV'S SHOULD BE IN WORD FORMAT TOGETHER WITH ID, QUALIFICATIONS, DRIVER'S LICENSE AND LATEST PAYSLIP ATTACHED 

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the strategic mine plans and strategy. 
• Oversee all engineering work for effective functioning and supporting mining operations. 
• Manage, implement and contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives and projects for engineering processes. 
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. 

Minimum Required Qualification:

• Degree, National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical
• Junior Engineer Graduate Development Programme
• Government Certificate of Competency – Mine Health & Safety Act 29 of 1996

The Appointee should:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering

Advantageous Qualifications:

• Level 7: Bachelors Degree and Advanced Diplomas Bachelor Degree Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology
• Registered as an Engineer to practice with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), Association of Mine Resident Engineers (AMRE) or relevant professional body would be advantageous.
