Broadridge is hiring! We’re seeking a Senior SQL/ETL Developer to join our stellar team. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL programming skills, experience developing and supporting ETL workflows using industry-standard ETL tools, and the ability to analyze existing Talend ETL jobs and redesign them into scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions. This role is responsible for building and optimizing critical data processes that support the daily operations of major financial institutions. The candidate will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and ensure high standards for data quality, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise ETL workflows, data integration pipelines, and custom extracts supporting critical financial operations.
  • Develop, enhance, and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objectsto support ETL processing and data transformation needs.
  • Analyze existing Talend jobs and ETL workflowsand lead the migration/conversion of those processes into Apache NiFi.
  • Design and implement scalable, reusable, and high-performance NiFi data flows, including ingestion, routing, transformation, validation, and delivery.
  • Build, test, debug, deploy, and support ETL solutions for new and existing enterprise applications.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrityacross all ETL and data integration processes.
  • Implement data quality checks, exception handling, reconciliation, and logging within ETL workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with database governance, security, and data management best practices.
  • Review business and functional requirements from Business and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain technical design documents, data flow diagrams, source-to-target mappings, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to architecture reviewsand the technical roadmap, continuously identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and support Agile software development processesaligned with enterprise development standards.
  • Ensure all ETL components are unit tested, secure, performance-tuned, and production-ready.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases, validate transformations, and verify impacted data flows during releases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoringto junior developers and team members.
  • Support application deployment and operations in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• • 15+ years of strong SQL development experience
  • Expertise in writing and optimizing:
    • Complex SQL queries
    • Stored procedures
    • Functions
    • Views
    • Data extraction and transformation logic
  • Strong experience in SQL performance tuning
  • Strong hands-on experience in ETL design, development, enhancement, support, and migration
  • Experience in Apache NiFi, enterprise Java, and AWS environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with Talend, with the ability to analyze existing Talend jobs for migration purposes
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation such as Shell scripting, Python, or similar
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $135,000 to $145,000 USD. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, location, skills, and education
