Its portfolio combines licences for more than 100 brands with owned labels such as Robert Graham, Hudson, Joe's Jeans, Buffalo Jeans and Favorite Daughter, with offices in Los Angeles, Greensboro and Montreal plus sourcing teams across Asia and Africa. It hires designers and technical designers, merchandisers, allocators, corporate accountants, financial planning managers, store sales associates and warehouse staff.

About Us

Why It's Exciting to Work at Centric Brands

Centric Brands is where data meets style. We are a leading lifestyle brand collective - designing, sourcing, marketing, and selling high-quality products across kids, men's and women's apparel, accessories, beauty, and entertainment. Our portfolio spans some of the most recognized licensed and owned brands in fashion, and our products reach consumers through virtually every major retailer and e-commerce channel in North America.

Behind every product decision - what to design, where to source it, how to price it, and when to ship it - is data. As a Senior BI Developer at Centric Brands, your dashboards won't sit unused in a folder; they will be opened every morning by merchandisers, planners, supply chain leaders, and executives making multi-million-dollar decisions about the brands people love and wear. Here's what makes this role genuinely exciting:

  • Real impact, real audience - Your work is visible at the top. BI at Centric is an executive priority, not a back-office function. You will present to and build for senior leadership.
  • A modern stack in motion - We are actively migrating to a cloud-first analytics stack built on Snowflake and Sigma, layered over SAP enterprise data. You will help shape the front-end analytics experience for the whole company - not maintain someone else's legacy reports.
  • An industry with texture - Fashion and consumer brands generate some of the most interesting data problems in business: seasonality, trend forecasting, licensing economics, omnichannel retail, and global supply chains.
  • Growth built in - You'll join a collaborative Data & Analytics team that invests in its people - including paid training and certification support in emerging tools like Sigma.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

We are seeking an experienced front-end Business Intelligence Developer to design, build, and optimize the dashboards, reports, and semantic models that power decision-making across Centric Brands. You will work at the intersection of our SAP enterprise systems, our Snowflake cloud data platform, and our visualization layer (Power BI today, with Sigma rapidly expanding). This is a hands-on builder role for someone who takes pride in analytics products that are fast, trusted, and genuinely used.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain executive- and operational-level dashboards and reports in Power BI, and increasingly in Sigma, serving merchandising, planning, finance, supply chain, and sales teams.
  • Build and optimize robust semantic models and datasets - DAX measures, star-schema data models, row-level security, and performance tuning for large datasets.
  • Write advanced SQL against Snowflake to shape, validate, and optimize data for reporting; partner with data engineering on ELT patterns and warehouse design.
  • Work with SAP-sourced data (ECC/S4, BW, or similar), understanding core enterprise structures across sales, inventory, and finance to translate them into business-friendly analytics.
  • Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders, translate ambiguous asks into clear specifications, and iterate quickly with end users.
  • Establish and champion BI standards: naming conventions, design systems, documentation, version control, and certified datasets.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues end-to-end, from source system to dashboard, and own the credibility of the numbers.
  • Mentor analysts and business power users; help lead our adoption of Sigma for self-service analytics on Snowflake.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Must-Have Qualifications

Experience

  • 5-7+ years of proven, hands-on BI development experience delivering production dashboards and data models in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of deep Power BI development: advanced DAX, Power Query (M), composite models, incremental refresh, deployment pipelines, and workspace/governance administration.
  • 2+ years working with Snowflake (or an equivalent cloud data warehouse with recent Snowflake experience): advanced SQL, query optimization, and an understanding of warehouse cost/performance behavior.
  • Hands-on experience working with SAP data as a reporting source - e.g., SAP ECC or S/4HANA tables, SAP BW/BW4HANA extractors, or SAP data replicated into a cloud warehouse - including familiarity with core SD/MM/FI data structures.

Demonstrated Skills

  • A portfolio of shipped dashboards you can walk us through: the business problem, the model behind it, the performance decisions you made, and the adoption it achieved.
  • Expert-level SQL - able to profile unfamiliar data, debug discrepancies to the row level, and refactor slow queries.
  • Dimensional modeling fluency (Kimball-style star schemas) and the judgment to know when to push logic upstream versus into the semantic layer.
  • Strong data visualization craft: layout, color, and interaction choices that make complex retail and supply chain data instantly readable.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication - comfortable presenting to directors and VPs, and translating between business language and technical design.
  • Rigorous habits around testing, validation, documentation, and version control.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Sigma - Sigma Computing experience - hands-on Sigma development is a strong plus, but not required. If you bring deep Power BI + Snowflake + SAP skills, we will train you on Sigma and support you through certification. Curiosity and willingness to become our Sigma expert are what matter.
  • Experience in apparel, retail, CPG, or wholesale/licensing businesses - familiarity with concepts like sell-in/sell-through, open-to-buy, markdowns, and seasonal planning.
  • Python or dbt experience for data transformation and testing.
  • Experience with Power BI administration at the tenant level (capacities, gateways, usage monitoring).
  • Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau, or Looker.
  • Experience supporting a BI tool migration or self-service analytics rollout.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services (ADF, Synapse) or Fivetran/Matillion-style ELT tooling.

Certifications

Preferred (any of the following)

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) - strongly preferred.
  • SnowPro Core Certification (Snowflake).
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
  • Sigma Computing certification (we will sponsor this for the right candidate).
  • SAP certification (e.g., SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud) is a plus.

Equivalent demonstrated expertise is welcomed in place of formal certifications.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.

In return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401(k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership. Our social impact program, Centric Cares, focuses on volunteerism to make a difference in communities we live and work in and our D&I committee is shaping the future of diversity, equity and inclusion at Centric Brands through workshops, resources and inspiring conversation.
