Mobile Application Manager

We are looking for an experienced engineering manager - mobile apps with 2+ years of overall experience in software development, including strong experience leading mobile engineering teams. This role requires a blend of technical depth, people management, delivery ownership, and product thinking. You will lead the mobile app charter across Android, iOS, and/or React Native platforms, driving scalable architecture, engineering excellence, and high-quality user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale the mobile engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and team development.
• Own end-to-end delivery of mobile applications across Android, iOS, and/or React Native platforms.
• Define technical roadmap, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices for mobile development.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Leadership teams to align business goals with execution plans.
• Drive sprint planning, prioritisation, release management, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, app performance, security, and maintainability.
• Establish metrics for engineering productivity, app stability, crash rates, release velocity, and customer experience.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes for App Store and Play Store.
• Manage production incidents, technical risks, and dependency planning.
• Foster a strong ownership culture, an innovation mindset, and continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with significant exposure to mobile application development.
• Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and scalable app development.
• Hands-on experience with React Native.
• Strong knowledge of API integrations, mobile performance optimisation, and app security.
• Experience delivering apps at scale with strong user adoption.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing frameworks, analytics, and monitoring tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
