CesiumAstro is an American company founded in Austin in 2017 that builds active phased array communications payloads for satellites, aircraft and defence platforms. Its systems are software-defined and electronically steered, which lets a moving platform track several links at once without mechanical antennas, and the company manufactures them in house rather than integrating third-party subsystems. It sells mainly to defence customers and satellite operators, has raised venture funding from investors including Airbus Ventures and Lightspeed, and operates facilities in Austin, Colorado and the United Kingdom.

  • Verify inspection activities follow approved procedures, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.
  • Prepare inspection summaries, quality reports, and status updates to communicate work-unit performance, product discrepancies, and outstanding issues.
  • Direct daily activities of quality control personnel, providing work instructions, training, performance feedback, and guidance on established inspection procedures.

  • Identify recurring inspection discrepancies, workflow delays, and documentation issues affecting work-unit productivity and product acceptance.
  • Adjust basic inspection workflows, work assignments, and documentation practices within established procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support implementation of approved quality control improvements, standardized work practices, and corrective actions that strengthen inspection consistency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree, formal occupational training, certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, operations management, or a related field with at least 4 years of related experience in quality control, manufacturing inspection, product acceptance, nonconformance management, quality assurance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an individual contributor capacity.
  • Practical knowledge of quality control, manufacturing inspection, product acceptance, and quality management practices.
