Backed by TJC LP

Position Summary

The Planning Analyst will support the development and execution of CFS Brands’ supply chain planning processes across demand, inventory, supply, and purchasing activities. This role will translate data into actionable insights, maintain planning tools and reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and help improve forecast accuracy, inventory levels, service, and working capital. The analyst will partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Finance, and business leaders to support a consistent, fact-based planning process across a complex, multi-brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities across assigned product categories, brands, or business units.
  • Analyze historical demand, forecasts, orders, inventory, lead times, service levels, and other planning inputs to identify trends, exceptions, and root causes.
  • Prepare recurring planning reports, dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready summaries for the VP of Supply Chain Planning and cross-functional partners.
  • Use Power BI and related reporting tools to build, maintain, and enhance planning dashboards that provide clear visibility to demand, supply, inventory, service, and key performance trends.
  • Assist with monthly IBP/S&OP activities, including data preparation, forecast reviews, supply and inventory analysis, issue tracking, and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Monitor inventory health and highlight excess, obsolete, at-risk, constrained, and slow-moving inventory, along with recommended actions.
  • Support forecast accuracy, bias, fill rate, inventory turns, working capital, and other planning performance metrics.
  • Partner with Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service to reconcile assumptions, resolve data issues, and improve alignment between demand and supply.
  • Help maintain planning parameters, master data, item attributes, lead times, safety stock inputs, and other system information that affects planning quality.
  • Support scenario analysis for demand changes, new products, promotions, acquisitions, supply constraints, and other business decisions.
  • Document planning processes, identify opportunities to standardize and automate recurring work, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support and, as appropriate, lead planning-related projects from requirements through implementation, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, deliverables, status updates, risks, and change management.
  • Perform other duties and analytical projects as assigned by the VP of Supply Chain Planning, applying structured project management practices to define scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and follow-up actions.

Success Measures

  • Reliable, timely, and accurate planning reports and analysis.
  • Improved visibility to demand, supply, inventory, and service risks.
  • Consistent support for monthly IBP/S&OP and cross-functional planning reviews.
  • Improved data quality, planning discipline, and follow-through on action items.
  • Meaningful contribution to forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, service, and working-capital goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-6 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory analysis, supply chain analytics, procurement analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with ERP, planning, forecasting, or business intelligence systems; experience with Excel-based modeling and reporting is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make practical recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and convert analysis into business actions.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to organize work, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage timelines and dependencies, track risks and issues, and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience in a multi-site, multi-brand, manufacturing, distribution, or high-SKU environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, including the ability to use, maintain, and improve dashboards, reports, data models, and visualizations; experience with SQL or other analytical tools is preferred.
