Your impact

As a Splunk Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our enterprise customers and partners. You will design and deliver innovative technical solutions that directly address business needs, ensuring long-term customer success in the region.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical sales engineer and trusted advisor for customers and partners in Switzerland to drive technology adoption. The focus is on global accounts in the financial services and insurance sectors.
• Design and present relevant Splunk and Cisco technical solutions based on identified business requirements to solve enterprise challenges.
• Lead engagements with IT professionals and business decision-makers to translate strategic business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Guide a virtual support team of sales resources to efficiently move deals through the technical sales process.
• Collaborate with account and connected sales teams on comprehensive customer plans to ensure joint customer success and satisfaction.
• Working with Global Splunk and CIsco diverse teams.
• Maintain knowledge of the Splunk and Cisco portfolio to drive cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to create use-cases, and its alignment to customer challenges and objectives
• Develop and maintain deep expertise of Splunk’s portfolio, use-cases, and its alignment to customer challenges and objectives
• Provide active feedback to Sales teams regarding strategic customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive tactics to inform product strategy.
• Dedicate the majority of your selling time to landing new opportunities and growing our footprint within existing accounts.
• Lead the technical relationship with customers and partners, maintaining deep knowledge of their environments and competitor plays to position our solutions effectively.
• Leverage relevant tools and resources to support deals and achieve key success metrics, including increased revenue and net new customer acquisition. and developing and executing Technical Account Plans, acting as the Splunk CTO for your customers
• Working with Global Splunk and CIsco diverse teams.

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, or a related technical sales role within the enterprise software industry.
• 5+ years relevant experience in cyber security and/or observability is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience configuring, deploying, or selling Splunk software and platforms in a technical, engineering, or sales capacity.
• Experience leading technical sales cycles, including designing and presenting technical architectures to enterprise customers.
• Experience collaborating with account teams and virtual support teams in a B2B enterprise software environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead others in a highly-collaborative team environment
• Relevant industry or vendor certifications, such as Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, or Cisco certifications are a plus.
• Practical experience with the Splunk platform or competing solutions is a plus.
• Previous experience working directly with enterprise customers and partners within the Swiss market.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to navigate competitive sales environments.
• Available to travel up to 50% to visit prospects and customers across Switzerland and internationally if needed.
• Fluent German (both written & spoken)
