About the Role
This is the execution-heavy side of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at an early-stage fintech building global identity and onboarding infrastructure for businesses. You will serve as the technical bridge between customers and the product team, owning the success of implementations end to end, from scoping through rollout.
What You'll Do
Work directly with customers to help them successfully implement and adopt the platform.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.
Technically scope requirements early in the implementation process to set customers up for long-term success.
Troubleshoot implementation issues in production environments and guide customers toward scalable solutions.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and growth teams to identify and resolve friction in implementation flows.
Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.
What We're Looking For
4 to 5 or more years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as field engineering, solutions engineering, technical support, or implementation.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving technical integration issues in production environments.
Proficiency with modern web application stacks and APIs, including REST, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and an understanding of data modeling for integrations.
Demonstrated ability to scope technical requirements and design implementation approaches with customers.
Experience documenting technical processes, APIs, or implementation guides for customer-facing audiences.
Strong domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, regulated onboarding, or a closely related compliance area. This is the strongest signal for the role.
Former Product Owners or Managers from fintech who ran internal or external onboarding and KYC flows are also a strong fit.
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), or cloud platforms (AWS or similar) is a plus.
Clear communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments across cross-functional teams.
Must be available to work within a European timezone.
Compensation & Benefits
This role uses a published leveling system with no individual salary negotiation. Everyone at the same level is paid the same. The base salary range is EUR 93,000 to EUR 146,000 annually, depending on level. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Fully remote within European timezones. Being in or near Amsterdam, Netherlands is a strong plus. The team gathers in person regularly throughout the year.
