About the Role
This is the execution-focused half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at an early-stage fintech building global business identity infrastructure. You sit at the intersection of customers, product, and engineering, owning the technical success of implementations end to end and feeding real-world signal back into the product.
What You'll Do
Work directly with customers to scope technical requirements early in the implementation lifecycle.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.
Troubleshoot integration issues in production and guide customers toward scalable, long-term solutions.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and resolve friction in implementation flows.
Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.
What We're Looking For
4 to 5 or more years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as field engineering, solutions engineering, technical implementation, or integration delivery.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting technical integration issues in production environments.
Solid working knowledge of modern web application stacks and APIs, including REST, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling for integrations.
Proven ability to scope technical requirements and design implementation approaches in partnership with customers.
Experience writing technical documentation, API guides, or implementation materials for customer-facing audiences.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing product decisions based on customer feedback.
Domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, or regulated onboarding is the strongest signal for this role. Former Product Owners or Managers from fintech who ran onboarding or KYC programs are also actively considered.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes, message queues, or cloud platforms is a plus.
Clear communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with evolving processes.
Must be available within European timezones. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation & Benefits
This role uses a transparent, non-negotiable leveling system where everyone at the same level earns the same. Base salary starts at approximately EUR 93,000, with the next level at EUR 116,000 and a ceiling around EUR 146,000. Levels carry large salary jumps.
Location
Fully remote within European timezones. Being in or near Amsterdam is a strong plus. The full team gathers in person every six weeks for a company-wide collaboration week.
