Pricing Architect
About the Role
This is a senior, client-facing pricing role at an early-stage AI-native SaaS startup building a continuous pricing optimization platform. You will own end-to-end pricing engagements for B2B customers, from initial discovery through live pricing models and ongoing optimization, acting as a trusted advisor to operators and executives alike. The role sits at the intersection of customer success, commercial strategy, and product development.
What You'll Do
Lead pricing engagements independently from discovery to live pricing and proposition models.
Run alignment workshops and market research with customer stakeholders at all levels.
Design segmentation, packaging, price metrics, discounting, and monetization logic tailored to each customer.
Drive post-go-live pricing optimization and continuous value capture as customers grow.
Measure and communicate commercial impact to client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
Identify and convert expansion opportunities into upsells.
Use the AI-powered pricing platform daily to solve real customer problems and provide specific product feedback.
Partner with product and engineering teams to improve the pricing engine and tooling.
Support rollout and change management, including onboarding internal sales teams.
Document learnings to help scale a repeatable pricing engagement motion.
Participate in sales pitches and help advance deals with prospective customers.
What We're Looking For
5 to 7+ years in pricing, commercial strategy, or revenue management, ideally from a top-tier strategy consultancy or a pricing/revenue role in tech or SaaS.
Deep expertise in segmentation, packaging, price metrics, discounting, and willingness-to-pay methodologies.
Proven track record owning multiple end-to-end pricing engagements from concept through execution.
Experience leading enterprise or mid-market customer relationships and managing varied client stakeholders.
Strong B2B tech exposure, with pricing or commercial strategy work relevant to SaaS or technology companies.
Hands-on, current use of GenAI and LLM tools in day-to-day pricing work.
Solid data and analytical skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and SQL.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-level and cross-functional teams.
Experience coaching or mentoring others in pricing or related functions.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity startup environment.
Professional fluency in English.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000 USD per year, plus meaningful equity participation and a market-conform benefits package. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Location
This role is on-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands (or San Francisco, CA, USA). Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to one of these locations.
