Job Details

As an Inventory Processor, you will maintainsupply organizationby completing inventories, filing, preparingand delivering supplies, maintainingstorage areasand utilizingthe Inventory System. This background work is critical to organization, efficiencyand functionality throughout the entire hospital system.

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Utilize the Inventory System to order supplies and maintainproper inventory levels.

  • Reviewand input data.

  • Maintain Central Distribution inventory by properly rotating stock and expirationmanagement.

  • Take daily inventory of all supplies for assigned areas.

  • Inventory and restock isolation/code/procedural carts as needed.

  • Fill orders for supplies/equipment and deliver supplies/equipment as needed.

  • Charge supplies/equipment to cost centers and issue credit for returns (24/7 operation).

  • Receive orders using MMISsystem, verify proper items are received with the orders, and deliverto the requesting department.

  • Deliver supplies/equipment to the proper departments and place them where stocked.

  • Rotate stock for first in/first out usage.

  • Assistin researching problem orders (i.e., back orders, incorrect shipments, damaged products, product substitutions, product recalls, returns, and stock level adjustments).

  • Maintain storage areasand make necessary storage changes to accommodate additionalitems to be stored.

  • Clean carts and storage areas.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Current knowledge of medical products as demonstratedby a minimum of one year experiencein a health care environment in an area equivalent to nursing assistingmedical assisting surgical assisting general or unit clerk or sterile processing area or two years of inventory experience utilizingan inventory management system

  • Experience/understanding of inventory control process

  • Skill in data entry and use of PCs preferred (e.g.Excel/Word)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Experience with inventory/equipment software tracking systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push pull stoop lift at least 70 pounds and perform routine tasks.
