Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Artist / Designer with strong graphic design skills and an eye for visual composition. The ideal candidate has experience creating high-quality designs, editing images, and preparing artwork for specialized applications such as stone engraving and etching.
This role focuses primarily on designing, manipulating images, and preparing artwork for production, rather than relying heavily on advanced photo-editing techniques. Experience with Adobe Photoshop is beneficial, particularly for preparing portraits and images for engraving on granite or other stone surfaces. The role is also client-facing, requiring professional written communication and the ability to communicate with clients via email to clarify requirements, handle revisions, and ensure
the final designs meet expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visually appealing and accurate graphic designs based on client requirements, specifications, and project briefs.
- Prepare and manipulate images for engraving and etching applications, including portraits intended for granite or other stone surfaces.
- Adjust image shadows, contrast, brightness, tones, hues, and other visual elements to ensure images translate effectively into engraved artwork.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and other relevant Adobe design tools to edit images and prepare artwork for production.
- Develop, revise, and finalize designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Communicate directly with clients via email to gather design specifications, clarify instructions, provide updates, and coordinate revisions.
- Ensure all artwork meets quality standards, technical requirements, and production specifications.
- Manage multiple design projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure designs are completed correctly and delivered on time.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2-4 years proven experience in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Strong graphic design skills, with a good understanding of layout, composition, typography, image balance, and visual aesthetics.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Ability to manipulate images and adjust tonal values, shadows, contrast, and brightness for specialized production purposes.
- Knowledge of photo preparation for engraving, etching, or similar applications is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific design instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to different production requirements.
- English Proficiency: Minimum passing score of 7-8 on the English proficiency assessment, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients via email, understand design instructions, and respond appropriately to inquiries and revision requests.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle feedback professionally.
